Fatal bus crash! Another tragic bus accident has shaken the country

On Friday morning, several serious road accidents occurred in various parts of the country, the most shocking being a collision between a bus and a car in the Jászapáti region. According to information from the Civil Protection services, the accident happened on Route 31, between kilometers 94 and 95, where the bus partially slid into a ditch after the collision.

Professional firefighters from Jászberény and municipal firefighters from Jászkisér responded to the scene. Using hydraulic rescue tools, an injured person was extracted from the wreckage and immediately handed over to emergency services. The road was completely closed during the investigation, causing significant traffic congestion in the surrounding area.

Shortly afterwards, further road accidents were reported:

On the M7 motorway near Polgárdi, a truck and a car collided. Firefighters from Polgárdi cut off the vehicles’ electrical power, and emergency services arrived at the scene to assist the injured. Traffic is reduced to one lane in the affected section. On the M5 motorway, heading towards Szeged, a truck overturned. Its cargo spilled into a ditch, and professional firefighters from Szeged are handling the technical aspects of the situation. Traffic is flowing smoothly here, but rescue operations are ongoing.

According to Útinform, the road between Jászapáti and Jászjákóhalma has been completely closed. Drivers must detour via Jászladány, which is causing significant delays. Authorities are urging everyone to be cautious and pay close attention due to the winter road conditions.

Please drive carefully! Today’s accidents serve as yet another reminder of the importance of obeying traffic laws, especially during the winter months. The work of the fire department, emergency services, and police on the affected road sections underscores the importance of rapid response, but preventing accidents remains a shared responsibility for all road users.

Be careful on the road and avoid the affected areas if possible!
