A dramatic accident occurred near Grudziądz in the Kuyavian-Pomeranian Voivodeship. A truck carrying a tree collided with a Ford car carrying a young couple with a one-year-old child. Firefighters spent over half an hour extracting the victims from the completely crushed car.
A road horror unfolded on Friday, April 12th, in the town of Mokre. Just beyond an intersection, a truck collided with a Ford. The colossus, with its trailer, overturned. Logs it was carrying scattered across the road. The Ford passenger car ended up in a ditch.

The accident was reported at 10:25 a.m. Numerous emergency services were dispatched to the scene. Firefighters were the hardest hit. They had to rescue the driver of the passenger car and his passengers. The wreckage had to be cut open to free the injured. It took about half an hour to extract all the victims.
As Asst. Łukasz Kowalczyk from the police in Grudziądz told “Fakt”, the injured were: the 24-year-old driver of the Ford, a 23-year-old passenger and a one-year-old child.
“At this time, we don’t know the condition of the accident victims. The driver was most seriously injured and was taken to the hospital by a rescue helicopter,” says Asst. Łukasz Kowalczyk.
The exact circumstances of the incident are currently unknown. Preliminary police findings indicate that the driver of the passenger car likely veered into the opposite lane. However, the exact cause will be determined by the ongoing investigation.
The truck driver was not seriously injured. He received treatment at the scene.
