It’s hard to imagine a more bitter twist of fate.  Zoltán was snatched from the jaws of death far too young, at 38, but the last two years of his life were nonetheless a living hell.  He is the father whose four-year-old daughter was forgotten by a bus driver transporting preschool children on June 7, 2022, in Tomajmonostora.

Little Inez lost her life in a cruel way: she was locked for hours in the blazing sun, in an open parking lot, in a vehicle with the doors and windows closed, where the temperature exceeded 50 degrees Celsius and it was stifling. The  child lost consciousness and suffered from heatstroke.  Although she was taken to the hospital the same day,

Her condition was so critical that she died three days later.  Her father wished for the driver to be properly punished for his negligence, but he did not survive until the day of the trial when the final verdict was delivered.  He was buried the day before and died of grief.

The girl’s tragically deceased father had known for some time that a terrible disease had attacked his body, but he fought until the very end, never imagining that the end was so near.  He was diagnosed with cancer in 2020 and underwent surgery and chemotherapy that same year.  – After that, he felt better,

He even continued his work as a construction equipment operator, but what happened to his daughter affected him so deeply that it was such a trauma that it worsened his illness and increased his symptoms.  The tumor eventually spread so far into his body that it was no longer possible to help him – his mother, Istvánné Sztruhala, sadly told Vasárnapi Blikk.

On the last day, the young man was taken to the hospital to receive an IV drip and be examined.  His family returned home that evening, and the terrible news reached his partner in the early morning of October 3rd.  The young father’s funeral took place on the 14th.

Just before the final conviction of the driver who was tried for the tragedy of forgetting and the death of his daughter on the hot bus.  He participated in all the negotiations alongside his lover: that was the plan this time too.
