According to the police investigator,
the car veered off the gravel road and fell into the raging river.
Rescuers who arrived at the scene pronounced both men dead.
“The incident took place on Arcadia Road in Paparoa
which was closed to the public throughout the period
events under the supervision of the local Roads Authority”
“As stated in a statement by MotorSport.
It’s too early to investigate
to comment on what were the main factors contributing to the disaster,
“Nevertheless, the road does not appear to be in poor or dangerous condition.”
