It’s actually a traditional butter spoon!
Once widely used in Eastern Europe and Nordic countries, it was meant for scooping butter or cream and shaping them into neat, round portions to elegantly serve at the table.
The two hollows help separate the butter and give it a nice shape. Practical and aesthetic at the same time!

It’s fascinating to come across forgotten objects, witnesses to the simple daily gestures of our ancestors. This little tool shows how much care people once took with details — even something as ordinary as serving butter.

I’m thrilled to bring it back to life and give it a place in my kitchen… or maybe just as a decoration.

Have you ever seen one of these? Or maybe found an ancient treasure in your home? Tell me about it!
