Community Mourns Actor Adam Turck, Remembered as a Hero After Tragic Death

The Richmond arts community is mourning the loss of 35-year-old stage actor Adam Turck, who died after a tragic incident on August 2, 2025.

Police say Turck was walking his dog when he encountered a dispute outside an apartment building. He intervened to help, but the situation escalated,

leaving him and another person critically injured. His family later confirmed his passing and shared that his organs would be donated to save lives.

Originally from Pennsylvania, Turck lived in Richmond for over a decade, earning multiple theater award nominations

and winning Best Actor in 2018 for Hand to God. He recently performed with Cadence Theatre and was preparing to star in Dracula:

A Comedy of Horrors. Friends and theaters remembered him as a gifted performer, devoted community member, and compassionate friend.

Outside the stage, Turck was a popular trainer at Tequila and Deadlifts gym, admired for his positivity and “moral compass made of steel.”

A GoFundMe has been launched to support his close companion, Chelsea Burke, with excess funds going to causes he championed.
