Music fans who tuned in to the MTV Video Music Awards (VMAs) were treated to the sight of Taylor Swift boogieing on down to a spot of Eminem, and it has their fans thinking.
Eminem’s song ‘Houdini’ picked up gongs for Best Hip-Hop Video and Best Visual Effects while the Queen of the Swifties picked up wins in a whopping seven categories, including Artist of the Year.
Her seven wins make Swift the most decorated artist in VMAs history as her tally of 30 awards across her career has surpassed the 29 won by Beyonce.
Swift had plenty of reasons to be happy on the night, and at one point during the awards ceremony while Eminem was on stage performing his award-winning track ‘Houdini’ the camera spied Taylor in the crowd busting a move or two.
You can probably guess where the minds of some of her fans went, knowing that she is a fine appreciator of the music of Marshall Mathers.

“WE NEED AN EMINEM X TAYLOR SWIFT COLLAB,” was one of the more popular responses to just a few scant seconds of Swift dancing along to the rap music.
Plenty of others liked the sight of their ‘two fave artists vibing’ even as some were trying to imagine how Eminem and Taylor Swift might work together.
More took the opportunity to praise Eminem as the ‘celebrity of celebrities’ as the guy clearly has plenty of star power to wow his musical peers.
Of course there were some people who thought this wasn’t such a good idea after all and declared ‘no we don’t’.
You do have to wonder whether the musical stylings of Taylor Swift and Eminem would fit together like artfully crafted jigsaw pieces or mix about as well as oil and water.

That’s not to say such a collaboration is impossible, when Eminem first burst onto the scene in his younger days few would have predicted that one of his most celebrated songs would have involved a team-up with Dido.
It would take someone more musically minded than myself to figure out how such a collaboration could possibly work beyond the fact that they are two very popular and successful artists.
Perhaps we should just enjoy the moment where one very successful musician is appreciating the music of a fellow legend for what it is and leave it there.
Elsewhere in her life, Taylor Swift recently declared which side her bread is buttered on regarding the US election, as she posted on Instagram that she was backing Kamala Harris and the Democrats.

Couple’s gender reveal goes horrifically wrong on doorbell cam video
The unfortunate gender reveal blunder was caught on camera

Smart doorbells come with a number of handy uses — from being able to answer the door from any room in your home to dealing with parcel deliveries when you’re not in.
But there’s one particular model that’s captured unexpected moments time and time again – and it recently captured a rather unexpected family moment.
The doorbell, from Ring, is one of the most popular models on the market and has currently got a whopping £30 off.
Let’s just say, the gender reveal in question didn’t exactly go to plan and it was all recorded on their doorbell for our viewing pleasure.
When Simon and Bronagh Laverty from Craigavon, Northern Ireland were getting ready to host their friends and family at their home to share whether they were expecting a baby girl or a baby boy, they enlisted the help of a balloon packed full of either pink or blue confetti to do so.
But, as the clip captured by their doorbell showcased, their balloon burst suddenly just as the father-to-be was walking out the front door of their home. And the telltale blue confetti that escaped from it spoiled the surprise for them prematurely.

Not only did Simon now know that he and his wife were expecting a baby boy but Bronagh also found out the gender in real time after receiving a motion detector alert from Ring on her phone.
Simon explained that his wife immediately called out to him, “What just happened?! Have we literally just found out what we’re having?”
He recalled that even though he was going through a number of different emotions after seeing the balloon pop, he was both happy and relieved to find out that his wife had seen the reveal as well.
Simon shared: “We look back at the video all the time, it gives us a laugh about what happened and how we found out. Catching it on camera was even more special than doing it in front of friends and family as we can keep and cherish it.”

He did, however, rush out to get a new balloon so as not to spoil the surprise for their closest friends and family.
“To be honest we had to play along with the whole thing and make sure no one else knew that we found out before the new balloon had popped, as we didn’t want to ruin the surprise for everyone else,” he affirmed.
The couple’s loved ones also found it incredibly funny after they eventually saw the clip.
As Simon and Bronagh were subscribed to one of Ring’s subscription plans, this meant that they could download, save and rewatch the footage for up to 180 days after the unexpected incident.
And the happy parents can’t wait to show their son Theo – who will be three in November – the video one day.
“It will be good for the wee man when he’s older to show him and say ‘This is how we found out what you were going to be’!” Simon told Ring.

Eminem fans think they’ve unlocked mindblowing concept after listening to new album in reverse order
The fan said to listen to the songs in order, not the other way around
In the run-up to the release of his new album The Death of Slim Shady, Eminem was pretty clear with fans that there was a right and proper way to listen to it.
Just before the album released, the rapper told his fans: “Public service announcement: the ‘death of slim shady’ is a conceptual album, therefore, if you listen to songs out of order they might not make sense. Enjoy.”
Pretty clear, right?
While some fans found it pretty funny that Eminem might have to explain what a concept album was, others declared: “Anybody that listens to an album for the first time on shuffle deserves to go to prison.”
The album takes listeners on quite a ride as Eminem appears to confront his caustic alter ego Slim Shady while paying tribute to some of his earlier work.
Listened to in order, you can certainly tell why the album was called The Death of Slim Shady, but some of the rapper’s fans reckon they’ve found a new meaning in it by flipping the script and turning Eminem’s words on their head.

They’ve claimed that what you ought to do is listen to the new album backwards, as apparently that means the album is now not about Slim Shady being put to rest, but him coming back to life and taking over.
I’m not quite sure about this myself but an Eminem fan on Twitter going by the name @Pecora_boy123 called the rapper a ‘CLEVER F**K’ seems to have the details all sorted out in their mind.
The album’s last song, ‘Somebody Save Me’ is apparently now a foreshadowing of Eminem’s death and then Slim Shady shows up, and from there grows in power as Marshall Mathers fades out.
Since the album is being listened to in reverse the first song becomes the last song and the album ends on ‘Renaissance’, a rebirth for Slim Shady while Marshall Mathers ends up being buried.

This has fuelled a bit of speculation that there could be a ‘side B’ to the album that’ll take this twist and release more songs to prove Slim Shady isn’t really gone after all.
Other Eminem fans said the theory had ‘blown my mind’ and that ‘after they fuse in Houdini the rest of the songs are more Shady like if it’s played backwards’.
However, that might be because as the album progresses the songs are getting less like Shady as he fades, like if you watch Star Wars in reverse the Death Star manages to reassemble itself and then undoes the destruction of a planet.
The sceptics of this theory reckoned that the ‘stans are reaching very hard’, since it would seem as though an album called The Death of Slim Shady might be about what it says on the tin.

Fans spot Taylor Swift’s ‘incredibly respectful’ subtle gesture following Travis Kelce’s Super Bowl win
Taylor Swift fans have gushed over the sweet gesture
Fans seem to have spotted an ‘incredibly respectful’ gesture from Taylor Swift towards her boyfriend, following his Super Bowl win.
Travis Kelce and the Kansas City Chiefs emerged victorious from Super Bowl LVIII, triumphing 25-22 after two historic overtime periods.
Taylor Swift was in the crowd, to many NFL fans’ dismay, and was predictably given a lot of screen time during the event.
With the music artist expected to have brought a number of her fans over to tune in to the event, it’s predicted that last year’s viewership of 115 million will be beaten.
The 34-year-old could be seen enjoying her time, downing a beer on the big screen, gossiping with Blake Lively, and celebrating very candidly with her too.
Following the Chiefs’ dramatic win, sealing their third Super Bowl title in five years, Swift made her way to the field to see her boyfriend, Chiefs’ tight end Kelce.

Here, fans seemed to spot a moment that was described as ‘respectful’ and ‘subtle’, speaking on Swift’s overall character.
Kelce was seen looking for his loved ones, first seeing his mother and hugging her in celebration while Swift stood by idly, letting him have his time with his mum.
Then, when he was ready, Kelce made his way over to his pop star girlfriend, who had been happily and patiently waiting, saying ‘Hey baby girl’, giving her a few kisses and a long hug.
Fans praised Taylor for her ‘respectful’ actions, commenting their thoughts on TikTok.
One user commented: “The way she ALWAYS lets Donna (his mother) get that first hug”, with three teary eyed emojis.
Another said: “She is so incredibly respectful the way she stands back and lets him have his moment with mom and then waits till he comes to her.”
A third put: “The way she is so respectful of his relationships with his parents, and he’s so soft with her. She deserves this love.”

The two have been the talk of the NFL, for non-American Football fans of course, ever since they went public with their relationship in September last year.
The celeb couple have given us another wholesome moment, after the ‘Bad Blood’ star has been seen in the stands and on the touchline for previous games this season.

Taylor Swift stops half way through ‘Shake It Off’ to send request to her security

Taylor Swift halted a performance of her hit single ‘Shake It Off’ during a performance in Edinburgh in order to send a message to security.
The megastar’s monumental Eras Tour is currently making its way through the UK, with Swifties lining up in their thousands to catch a glimpse of their idol in the flesh.
However,as with any major stadium show, it can be taxing for fans to spend hours stood on their feet in a tightly packed, and often boiling hot, space as they wait for their an act to take to the stage.
This is something that Swift, 34, is fully aware of, with the singer regularly making sure to keep an eye on her fans during performances.

She isn’t afraid of stepping in to help fans in need either, as one clip recorded at her Edinburgh show sees her stopping mid-song to get security’s attention.
In the video, posted to TikTok by @har1702, Swift is in the middle of belting out her track ‘Shake It Off’ when she abruptly stops and says something to the security team.
“We need some help over here, right in front of me about 35ft back,” she says as the instrumentals and backing singers continue.
“Thank you,” she adds, before seamlessly slotting back into her performance.
Swift can also be seen pointing into the crowd for several seconds prior to the comment, seemingly trying to get the attention of security staff.

The poster went on to reveal that this wasn’t the first incident of this happening during the show either, as she’d also had to ask for assistance multiple times during a performance of ‘All Too Well’.
“I don’t blame her, she had to ask about 10 times during All Too Well too,” they added.
Fans were quick to praise the singer for keeping an eye on fan welfare during her concerts.
“I love how she is always mothering,” one person wrote, while a second added: “The way they caught on and turned the music and everything down.”
“I’m so glad she always looks out for us,” a third commented.

Several fans also pointed out that she likely to be super vigilant with crowd safety after a fan died during a show in Brazil last year.
“I think she has stopped or talked to security loads because its clear [that] she can see more of the crowd (I also think she has a lot of anxiety from Brazil now),” another person wrote.
23-year-old Ana Clara Benevides Machado passed away due to heat exhaustion after collapsing at a show in Rio De Janeiro last November. The show had taken place during a heatwave in the country, where temperatures reached upto 39C.
