Donald Trump, who previously assured the public that he would end the war within 24 hours immediately after his election victory, has revealed how he is going to achieve the ambitious goal.
The candidate from the Republican Party said this during a speech at the Economic Club of New York.
It is worth recalling that Putin maintains his ability to wage war thanks to high hydrocarbon prices, so if the Kremlin autocrat does not agree to his terms for an end to hostilities, he will provoke a sharp drop in oil prices.
Trump wants to achieve this by starting active extraction of resources inside the United States.
“We have more liquid gold under our feet than any other country, including Russia and Saudi Arabia. My plan will cut energy prices by half or more within 12 months,” he said.
