A 13-year-old boy found a baby in a car standing in the blazing sun.

Liam immediately pulled out his phone and called 911. He could feel his voice shaking as he explained the situation to the dispatcher—time was running out and the heat inside the car was increasing. He knew that every minute could be crucial.

Without waiting for the paramedics to arrive, Liam decided to act immediately. He looked around, saw a rock, picked it up and smashed the side window of the car.

The first blow wasn’t enough, but the second time the window cracked and shattered. Liam opened the back door, unbuckled his seatbelt, and pulled the baby out.

He quickly moved the baby into the shade, wet his face with water from a bottle handed to him by a passerby, and began to gently fan the baby to cool him down.

After a few minutes, paramedics and medics arrived. The child was severely dehydrated but conscious.

Liam’s actions quickly spread across the internet, with thousands of people around the world sharing the story on social media.

“He didn’t panic. He saved a life,” the comments read.
Liam had only one thing to say: “I thought it could have been my little brother. I couldn’t just stand there and watch.”
