These two young heroines show that with strong will and the ability to overcome difficulties, you can achieve anything, even though many moments seem impossible and tragic.

Because they were born with their heads joined together, Erin and Abby had an uphill battle from the very beginning of their lives.

Doctors wrongly assumed that both babies had one brain, but over time it became clear that the problem ran much deeper. They took a significant risk by undergoing surgery, which was also a very responsible move.

Even more astonishing was the discovery that the girls’ brains had not developed properly, perhaps as a result of their conjoined status. So doctors concluded that the procedure should be performed despite the many dangers. When it happened, the sisters were just 11 months apart, making them the youngest separated twins in history.

The medical staff did everything in their power to save the twins’ lives and thankfully their efforts were successful. The little children were given a second chance to experience life and the joys of childhood. They managed to overcome the challenges they faced and began to develop brain function, despite the fact that they had to remain under medical care for a significant period of time.

We are happy that they are currently healthy and well, and we hope that they continue to enjoy life and be successful in their endeavors.
