My neighbor is a real handyman. Whatever breaks in their house, he fixes it himself. His wife often complains that they never get new household appliances because her husband always finds a way to fix the old ones.
Recently, while walking past his yard, I noticed something strange. The top of an old fridge was sticking out of the ground. I stopped and stared at this scene for a while, trying to figure out why someone would bury a fridge in the ground.

Honestly, I couldn’t think of any logical reason for such an act.
Curiosity got the better of me, and I decided to ask my neighbor directly. He just smiled and invited me to take a closer look.

– This is my new cellar, – he proudly declared.
It turned out that he buried the fridge in the ground, leaving only the lid above. Now he stores vegetables and fruits inside, like apples.

– The ground stays cool year-round, – he explained. – So it’s the perfect place to store food.

I was amazed by his ingenuity. Who would have thought that a broken fridge could be turned into a mini-cellar? Now I look at old appliances differently – maybe I should try something like this too.
What do you think of this idea?
