The story begins in a quiet suburb near Gdansk, where a young couple, Tomasz and Agnieszka, lived with their dog, an energetic sheepdog named Luna. Every morning, they let Luna run in the nearby forest, as they had done for many years. But one morning, she was not alone.
There was something on her back. At first, they thought it was dirt or twigs, but when they got closer, Agnieszka screamed.
On the dog’s fur lay a tiny, barely breathing animal, similar to… a baby with a human face. At first, Tomasz could not believe his eyes and thought it was a doll, but the creature blinked.
They put it in a box, wrapped it in a blanket and called the vet, but he, seeing the find, left the house without saying a word. The next step was to call the police, but they did not want to take this on themselves either.
One of the officers quietly whispered: “This is not the first time…” That same night, their electricity went out, the security cameras stopped working, and Luna barked incessantly, staring out the window. In the morning, the creature was gone. But a sign appeared on the wall in the kitchen: “IT’S ALREADY HERE.” Agnieszka stopped talking, and Tomasz began to hear children’s laughter in the basement. A week later, the neighbors noticed that the windows of the house were boarded up, and Tomasz himself was sitting by the door, not blinking. The police again refused to intervene. A month later, their car was found in the forest – inside was a note: “Luna knew. We didn’t.” And the house itself burned to the ground under strange circumstances. Firefighters claim that there were fresh footprints of small bare feet inside the house. The story was hushed up, but everyone in the area is still afraid to let dogs out into the forest. They say that if a dog brings something strange, it must be immediately put to sleep. Because what once came with the Moon is still somewhere nearby. And it remembers the way home.
