By buying an old cottage for pennies, she breathed new life into it.
This small house, which once seemed hopelessly dilapidated, was transformed into a cozy and stylish place to relax.
At first, the house looked completely different: broken windows, rotten floors, overgrown garden and bushes.
Its previous owners had long forgotten about the building and the plot, and it seemed that the fate of the cottage was sealed – it was waiting for demolition. However, she saw hidden beauty in it and the possibility of transformation.

The house was built in the 1970s, its area was 76 m². There were also three farm buildings on the plot, one of which later became a mini-guest house.

The apple garden also needed renovation. Realtors offered only land and trees, and the house was considered a ruin. However, she immediately understood that renovation and restoration could bring it back to life.

The old windows and Russian stove were preserved, undergoing renovation. The house now has everything necessary for comfortable living, including modern kitchen appliances, shower, toilet and hot water. Furniture was sought through advertisements, restoring antique items. The goal was to create a cozy space with personality, in contrast to large and monumental projects.

Special attention was paid to the bathroom, which looks like a good hotel: a spacious bathtub, an antique chest of drawers and wooden panels create an atmosphere of coziness.

The children’s room overlooks an apple orchard, while the second bedroom has a full-size double bed. Unique decorative elements were chosen for the home, such as hummingbird wallpapers, which became a stylish accent.

The appearance of the house has changed beyond recognition. The bright yellow color of the facade perfectly matches the green of the garden and the blue sky. Now it is an ideal place for weekends, picking vegetables for salads and relaxing with a book in a hammock. This is how an old house can regain new life.
