The school bus driver noticed that one of the students was not going into the school but was heading toward the forest; he decided to follow the boy and was shocked by what he saw 😲😨

The morning bus stopped in front of the school, and the doors opened with a quiet hiss. The children began getting off one by one. Some were laughing, others were arguing, and a few boys were bumping shoulders and almost running toward the school doors.

The driver sat behind the wheel and watched this familiar morning chaos through the mirror. He always checked to make sure no one tripped on the steps and that all the children made it safely to the entrance. Sometimes he raised his hand and smiled.

— Have a good day, kids.

Several children waved back at him, and a girl with a huge backpack almost lost her balance as she jumped onto the asphalt. The driver followed each child with his eyes until they disappeared behind the school doors.

The last to get off the bus was a boy about six years old. Small, wearing a dark jacket with a backpack on his back. His name was Alex.

He slowly stepped down the stairs and paused for a moment near the bus door, as if he wasn’t in a hurry to go any further. Then he took a few steps forward, looked at the school building where the other children had already disappeared, and stopped in front of the entrance.

The driver was about to close the doors when he noticed that Alex wasn’t going inside. The driver frowned.

Over the past week he had already noticed something strange. Every morning Alex got off the bus last, lingered near the entrance, and then disappeared somewhere. The driver had assumed the boy simply took another path or met up with friends.

Several times he caught himself thinking that it might not be his business. After all, he was just a school bus driver, not a teacher and not a parent.

But today something felt wrong.

Alex walked confidently along the fence and then suddenly turned onto a path leading into the forest.

All alone.

The driver sat behind the wheel for a few more seconds, watching the small figure between the trees. But then he decided to step out of the bus and follow him.

He just wanted to see where the boy was going.

A few minutes later he saw something that made him freeze in shock 😢😱 The continuation of the story can be found in the first comment 👇👇

The path led deeper into the forest. Autumn leaves rustled softly underfoot. After a few minutes the driver spotted the schoolboy.

Alex was sitting on a fallen tree. His backpack lay beside him, and he was staring at the ground.

When the boy heard footsteps, he flinched and quickly raised his head.

— Alex… — the driver said calmly. — Why aren’t you in school?

At first the boy didn’t answer. He lowered his eyes and stayed silent for a long time.

Then he said quietly:

— I come here every day.

The driver slowly sat down on another log beside him.

— Every day?

Alex nodded.

He explained that every morning he gets off the bus with everyone else, waits until the other children go into the school, and then walks into the forest. There he sits until lunchtime or walks among the trees. When classes end and the bus returns to pick up the children, he goes back to the stop and gets on the bus with everyone else.

At home everyone thinks he was at school. Alex spoke quietly and sometimes mixed up his words, but little by little everything became clear.

In class he was constantly bullied. Several boys laughed at him, pushed him, hid his things, and sometimes insulted him on purpose in front of everyone. Once it ended especially badly. They hurt him badly during recess, and the teachers only said that children should resolve their problems themselves.

After that Alex simply couldn’t force himself to go back into the school.

When the boy finished speaking, the driver looked at him for a long time, and something inside him tightened painfully.

The next day everything went differently.

When the bus stopped at the school and the children began getting off, the driver stepped out of the cab as well. He waited until a few boys from Alex’s class stayed near the bus and calmly called them over.

The conversation was short but very serious.

He explained that he knew what was happening and that it would not continue. He said that if he saw anything like that again, the conversation would no longer be with them.

After that he turned to Alex and nodded toward the school.

— Let’s go.

That day, for the first time in a long time, the boy walked through the school doors not alone.
