Silently I took out a sheet of paper and began to write. Line after line — everything I do every day: from five in the morning until late at night.
Work, cooking, cleaning, children, bills․․. When I finished, I handed it to him and said: «Now it’s your turn. Write everything that you do».

He took the pen… and froze. Not a word, not a movement. A silence fell in the room, as if the air had thickened. His silence spoke louder than any excuses.
I looked straight into his eyes and said: «I will no longer carry this burden alone. If you are not able to show either care or respect, if only you yourself are important to you, then I do not need such a person by my side.

I am not obliged to burn out for a family that values only my sacrifices, but not me myself».
This time he found nothing to answer. And for the first time in a long while, I felt the strength in my own voice.
