“I only have one year left to live. Marry me, give me a son — and your family will never have money problems again,” said the wealthy landowner 😢

The poor milkmaid agreed out of desperation. But on their very first wedding night, something terrible happened that left her in horror 😱😲

The poor girl was only twenty years old. Her hands smelled of milk and hay, and her boots were almost never dry from the mud. She lived in an old wooden house with her sick mother. Her father was in prison because of debts he had been unable to repay.

People in the village said many things, but the fact remained: there was no breadwinner, no money, and sometimes they truly had nothing to eat.

Her mother grew weaker with each passing month. The medicine was expensive. The girl woke up before dawn and worked on the farm until dark, but it was barely enough to buy bread. Sometimes she would sit by the window and simply stare at the road, not knowing what to do next.

And at that very moment, a wealthy man appeared in their lives. He was about forty. An expensive suit, an expensive car, the heavy gaze of a man used to never being refused.

He came into their home and said calmly, almost indifferently:

— I will help your father get released early. I will pay off the debts. Your family will never want for anything again. You just have to marry me and give me a son. I will die in a year anyway.

He spoke as if he were discussing the purchase of land.

The girl remained silent. She looked at his face, at his confidence, and suddenly felt sorry for him. Forty years old. Wealthy. And still alone. He repeated that the doctors had given him at most one year to live.

The girl agreed. Not because of the money — at least that’s what she told herself. He would die in a year anyway. Her father would be released, her mother would receive treatment. What did she have to lose?

The wedding was quick and quiet.

But on that very first wedding night, something happened that filled her with complete terror, and the very next morning she ran away from that house 😨😲 The continuation of this story can be found in the first comment 👇

When her husband fell asleep, the girl could not close her eyes. The house felt чужим и холодным. She got up to walk down the corridor and случайно увидела свет в кабинете. The door was slightly open.

There were papers lying on the desk.

She had not intended to read someone else’s documents. But her eyes caught familiar words. A date. A signature. The stamp of a clinic.

She slowly stepped closer.

It was a medical report from several months earlier. In black and white: health condition satisfactory. Prognosis favorable. Not a single word about a terminal illness.

Next to it lay another document — a contract with a lawyer. In the event of a child being born, all property would pass to the heir. If no child were born, the marriage would be annulled after a year, and she would be left with nothing.

As she later discovered, a wealthy relative had died and left all her property to him, but on one condition: he had to become a father within a year.

She had been used and lied to, manipulated through pity — and then would have been thrown out onto the street like something no longer needed.
