Marlo Thomas was quite happy with the life of a single woman and was against marriage when she met Phil Donahue and fell in love with him.

Earlier, the duo talked about how they managed to save their marriage, which lasted more than 45 years.

They were together for almost five decades, facing difficult trials that strengthened their relationship before Donahue passed away at the age of 88.
