I just wanted to peel the orange and separate it into slices when I suddenly noticed something odd inside . Between the regular segments, right in the center where the juicy flesh usually is, there was something strange and frightening — and it smelled absolutely awful . Luckily, I noticed it in time and didn’t end up eating that disgusting thing.
When I realized what was actually inside the orange, my heart nearly stopped. I’m sharing it with you too — be careful when eating this fruit . More details in the first comment

I got comfortable on the couch, turned on my favorite show, and decided to finally eat that orange that looked so delicious on the store shelf.
It was large, bright, with a fragrant peel — it seemed like it was filled with nothing but sweet, juicy pulp. I began peeling it, enjoying the citrus aroma, and was carefully separating the fruit into slices when I suddenly noticed something odd.
Between the normal segments, right in the middle where the soft core usually is, something was growing. Something dark, lumpy, covered in weird ridges.
At first glance, it looked like a second, deformed orange had started developing inside the main one. But it looked alarming — the surface was a bit porous, had a grayish coating, and emitted a musty, rotten smell.

My heart nearly stopped. Just imagine — I was about to take a bite without even looking, like we often do. Good thing I decided to break it apart — otherwise, I might have swallowed that disgusting mess.
When I started googling to figure out what it was, I was horrified: a second fruit had begun to grow inside the orange, but it had already started to rot and might have been infected with mold.
One look at that revolting thing — and I lost my appetite for the entire day. I can’t even imagine what would have happened if I had eaten the rotten part.

Now, every time I eat fruit, I inspect it carefully. The world is full of surprises — but some of them should never be found in your food…
