During the wedding, the bride suddenly whispered that something was moving under her dress: we carefully lifted the heavy gown and saw something terrifying

During the ceremony, all the guests were having fun: dancing, laughing, clinking glasses, and joyful shouts filled the hall. It seemed like a flawless day — the very moment one dreams of for a lifetime. I held the bride’s hand, we sat together watching the guests dance.

And suddenly, in the middle of all that joy, the bride leaned toward me and whispered quietly:

— Something is moving under my dress.

At first, I didn’t even understand what she said. I looked at her and laughed, thinking it was just another one of her jokes to lighten the tension.

— What exactly, darling? Your legs? — I joked and even laughed out loud, drawing the attention of the neighbors at our table.

But the laughter quickly faded from my face. The bride looked at me so seriously, with such an anxious expression, that I started to feel uneasy.

— I’m not joking. There really is something, and I’m very scared — she whispered, squeezing my hand slightly.

I tried to calm her down:

— Maybe you’re just tired. Maybe it only feels that way…

— No, — she cut me off. — I can clearly feel it. There’s something there. And it’s moving.

I froze, not knowing how to react. But at that moment, I realized — we had to check. I carefully helped lift the heavy layers of her gown, and what we saw shocked us to the core.

Right under the fabric, among the tulle and lace, a small snake was writhing. It clearly wasn’t planning to attack — most likely it had gotten inside by accident, maybe with the flowers or while the dress was being prepared for the ceremony.

The bride screamed and pulled away sharply, but I managed to hold her so she wouldn’t fall. The guests noticed the commotion, and several rushed closer.

At that moment, the snake, as if realizing it had been discovered, quickly slithered out and moved across the floor straight toward the hall’s exit.

The music stopped, the laughter faded, and everyone watched in shock and fear as the little “guest” left the wedding.

Luckily, one of the guests was knowledgeable about snakes. He calmed everyone down and explained that it was a harmless, small snake that had ended up there by accident and posed no danger.

But that didn’t make things easier for the bride — for another hour she was trembling and refused to continue the celebration. In the end, she decided to change: she took off her wedding gown and put on comfortable trousers.

Since that day, my wife has developed a new habit: checking every corner and always being wary of long skirts.
