Pope Francis has been hospitalized (1/10)
Pope Francis was hospitalized in Rome on Friday, February 14, 2025.
This was due to bronchitis, which caused him severe respiratory failure.
At the age of 88, the clergyman’s health is clearly deteriorating.

A health condition that raises questions (2/10)
“Now let me ask the priest to read. With my bronchitis, I can’t.” – said the religious leader, originally from Argentina, while expressing difficulty in speaking and breathing after his “severe cold.” His deteriorating health did not bode well….

What is Pope Francis like? (3/10)
This was not Pope Francis’ first hospitalization in recent times. In 2023, he sought to reassure Christians by announcing that he was leaving the hospital. In 2021, he underwent major colon surgery. An operation from which he was left with side effects. Especially since he was under anesthesia.

Heart problems in Pope Francis (4/10)
And the risks associated with anesthesia increase with age, and the risk that he won’t wake up… The Pope has also undergone knee surgery, not to mention the pain felt by his heart.

End of life questions (5/10)
If Pope Francis’ health is questionable, some of his words on death and the end of life, mentioned by Line Renaud, are enough to make us uneasy. During his weekly catechesis, Jorge Mario Bergoglio, as he called himself, said he had “never seen a truck following a hearse.”

Christian Faith (6/10)
A great introduction to talk about death and how to deal with it. As he says, one must face it, “without being overwhelmed by fear.” According to him, “the Christian faith is not a way to banish the fear of death. Rather, it is a way to face it.

Die with dignity (7/10)
“So many questions are being changed,” Pope Francis said in his February 9, 2022 catechesis. “What is the point of arguing with a brother, sister, friend, family member or brother or sister in the faith if one day we die? What is the point of getting angry with others? It is good to die reconciled, without resentment and without regret!”

The wisdom of Pope Francis (8/10)
According to the Pope, “we are all moving toward death.” According to him, “for a Christian, a good death is an experience of God’s mercy.”

Against euthanasia (9/10)
Although Pope Francis has assured everyone that he is well, some have doubts about his health. And if he is not, some wonder what he thinks about the right to die with dignity. Since the beginning of his pontificate, he has opposed euthanasia and assisted suicide. He calls it “false compassion.”

“Don’t play with life” (10/10)
That’s why he calls for care until the end, without interfering with the natural process of things. “You don’t play with life,” he chanted to reporters on a plane departing Marseille in September 2023. The dice have been thrown.

Pope Francis was hospitalized a week ago for bronchitis. Under great stress, the religious leader uttered disturbing words….
