That success led Gerald to look differently at a nearby silo that had long stood unused. Instead of seeing it as something outdated or disposable, he began to imagine what it could become. Converting a tall, round concrete silo into a livable home was far from simple. Traditional layouts did not work within the unusual shape, so every floor had to be carefully planned from the ground up. What followed was a long process of sketching, adjusting, testing ideas, and solving one design challenge after another. In time, the structure was reborn as a remarkable four-story home rising 45 feet high, now serving as a distinctive two-bedroom getaway.
